Wisteria House - 4x8 Oil Painting

4x8 on canvas panel
SOLD

This was my favorite house to paint so far and I have several more lined up of it from different angles. One of my favorite sites to see in Spring is the wisteria that starts creeping over everything, and it was trying to claim this old house as its own.

My father took a quick picture of the inside of the house through one of the windows. I'd love to see what this house would look like restored.

Ooo!How mysterious and enticing! I would like to see it restored too. Heck- I would like to see it as is! There is something just sooo very inviting about a fixer-upper. Its about imaging the potential, I think.

I hate to see a beautiful old house falling apart! It is lovely- I like trying to imagine the history of older houses. You did a great job on this painting (as usual!) Can't wait to see the other angles!

Sara, I agree, although fixer-uppers, as I've learned through personal experience, are only fun if you have the funds for them. ;)

Lauren, I'd like to learn more about the history of this one myself. My father does a good job of looking into the records of these old houses and contacting the owners if there's one that really catches his eye, so maybe I'll eventually learn a little more about this particular one.

Very interesting series. It is such a same that the house is not cared for, at one time it must have been loved because of the wrap around porch and the wisterias.
