View from Ocracoke


Purchase this painting on eBay

This scene is from Ocracoke Island on NC's Outer Banks, just behind the visitor's center. This was right as the sun was dying for the day. I was a little apprehensive to start this one because of all the grasses, but after I got started I really loved painting them. I'd like to approach another like it someday soon. This is a 24"x24".

Kerri, I just wanted to say that I love your painting style and you're so prolific. I'm very familiar with some of the scenes you've painted. Especially "View from Ocracoke". I was on the island the day you posted this one.

The scene on "Cedar Island Houses" was easy to recognize... having made the trip from Cedar Island to Ocracoke close to 1000 times it seems.
