Bogue Sound - 8x10 Oil Painting

8"x10" oil painting on archival canvas panel
SOLD
"You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club."
- Jack London

I find it helpful to go back to painting this spot whenever I'm feeling low on inspiration. It's just one of those spots that I feel deserves to be painted endlessly.

I agree with you about this place. I respond so strongly to this view of the marshes, every time you paint it.

I hope you can paint your way out of your low spot. I can think of no better way to spend time and improve outlook. Cheers, Kerri!

I can't imagine you low on inspiration with the way you turn out these gorgeous paintings! I am always drawn to one or two little details in paintings- in this one, it's the little tuft of grass off of the main point. P.S. You've inspired me to find music lyrics that match my paintings with all these great quotes you've posting lately!

Elizabeth - Thank you. Marshes kind of represent "home base" to me and are usually the best place for me to start when I can't figure out where to go or what to do.

Lauren - I try to paint even if I'm not really feeling inspired, since it usually comes about halfway through a painting. But not always! I can't wait to see what quotes you come up with - searching for the perfect one for each painting has been really fun.

Douglas - Thank you! You're too kind!

Kim - Thanks! I'm really glad people are enjoying the quotes!

Karen - Thank you!

Jyothisethu - Thank you for visiting, and I appreciate the comments!
