Rolling Waves

This scene started as a color study of rolling waves, but I couldn't resist going larger with it so I could play with details on a comfortable scale. Some weeks those little canvases just feel so cramped that a larger canvas is less daunting for me. It's nice to have a little more freedom with brushstrokes.

Kerri, these are incredible. The colors and movement of the water make me feel as if I am standing right there on the shoreline, with my toes in the wet sand.

You are so good at painting expanses. There really is a lot of depth in your fields and oceans. This is something I really struggle with - painting broad surfaces. Lovely painting Kerri.
