Transience - 6x8 Oil Painting

I'm heavily drawn to shades of gray in paintings, and capturing that soft washed out feel of a misty day. This is all about the ephemeral balance between sand and sky on one of those days.

I've started working in earnest on a large 24"x36" very detailed ocean wave painting. I've been itching to paint large for so long. I'm going to enjoy the process but put a lot of work into it each day so I can get it out there within a reasonable time.

Please also note that I've changed the look of my blog! A critique on Artist.Blog.Critique mentioned my outdated blog look, and I couldn't disagree. Check out that black bar up top - you can stick to Classic View to view full posts, which should be default. And it's fun to try out the Flipcard View to see just paintings that I've posted to get an overall feel of my work. Let me know how you like the new look, or if you have any problems!
